Lifelong Passion for Safe Firearm Discipline
My love for shooting began over 30 years ago when I was about 8 years old. Growing up in the country in Michigan allowed us to fish, hunt, and shoot skeet right on our own property. At 8 years old, my brother who was leaving to join the Air Force gave me my own .22 rifle which I passed down to my son. I also had a .410 shotgun which I still own to this day. You can say I truly grew up around firearms. During my teenage years I shot regularly at a gun range where I was employed during High School and College. During my career, I found that I truly enjoyed teaching... so when the opportunity presented itself to become an NRA Certified Instructor, I jumped at the chance! My philosophy is simple when it comes to training: give students MORE than they expected. I don't believe in doing just the bare minimum training required by the state.
